1Password password manager has launched a public beta with Passkey support, allowing users to replace passwords with authentication systems built into their devices.

1Password customers can now create, store and share access keys for supported Web sites by installing a browser beta extension of the same name for Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox or Brave.

Access keys can only be created for websites and services that have deployed Passkey technology.
