Developers have released a release of Godot 4.0, an open-source game engine for creating 2D and 3D games. It supports a game logic language, a graphical environment for game design, a one-click deployment system, animation and physics simulation, and a built-in debugger.

The game engine code is distributed under an open license from MIT. It supports desktop and mobile platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Android, iOS, BBX) as well as web development. Ready-to-run binary builds are generated for Linux, Android, Windows and macOS.
