Android smartphones may get a feature long awaited by users
After the release of the first beta version of Android 14, interesting details about its new features began to emerge. In particular, developers may allow the removal of pre-installed applications. This will not require obtaining root rights and studying the relevant guides on the Internet. It is reported by xda-developers.com.
It is not yet clear whether this feature will be available in the fall release. Developers are currently dealing with a very early build. And there is a possibility that the removal will be moved to one of the intermediate updates or even Android 15.
Other sources have also found the ability to convert physical SIM cards to eSIM in Android 14. But it will work only if the option is approved by telecom operators in advance.
