Apple and Google have made a big "cleanup" of their branded online app stores.

According to Pixalate statistics, a total of 592,000 apps were removed from the App Store and Google Play during the second quarter of 2022.

The main reason companies removed apps from the store was the lack of updates over the years. Among the deleted apps, 64% had not received updates for at least two years or more.
