Microsoft has released patches for all server versions of Windows from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2022 and 20H2 that fix AD authentication failures on domain controllers after installing the May updates.

These patches are only distributed through the OOB (out-of-band) update distribution channel, not through the Microsoft Update Center catalog. They will also not be offered for installation through Windows Update Center.
