Carbon Boys' Volleyball: A New Force in Dino Athletics
Carbon boys’ volleyball is all set to make their mark in their second season as the latest addition to Dino athletics. With Landon Fehlberg returning as head coach and Amy Warburton assisting, the team is brimming with confidence and fresh strategies. Their ultimate goal? A regional title and a deep tournament run.
Coaching with Precision and Passion
“I am a very honest and analytical coach,” Coach Fehlberg shared, emphasizing his focus on individuals’ roles and the team dynamic. His philosophy centers around unity, aiming for each player to contribute their best for the team’s success. This approach promises not only to build skills but to reinforce the team’s spirit and resilience.
Seasoned Players Lead the Charge
Returning athletes such as Charles Tima, Carter Warburton, Connor Gleave, Evan Lancaster, and Kyler Orth are expected to be key players, bringing experience and fresh energy. From Tima’s strong game awareness to Orth’s impressive block leadership, the team is poised to showcase robust defensive and offensive plays.
Offseason Growth and Challenges Ahead
The team didn’t rest during the offseason. “We hosted a skills camp in the fall, attended a team camp and skills camps in the summer,” said Coach Fehlberg. This dedication paid off, with more players participating and pushing each other to improve. According to ETV News, this proactive approach promises to enhance their game tenfold.
Facing formidable opponents like North Sanpete and Ogden, the Carbon boys are ready to test their progress. “They’ll serve as an indicator of our growth and keep us striving for excellence,” noted Coach Fehlberg.
Goals, Expectations, and Core Values
“Our goal is to take our region title,” Coach Fehlberg proclaimed. With a strong emphasis on big blocks, hard serves, and technical plays, he expects the Carbon Dino volleyball to shine. Integral values such as persistence, honesty, hard work, and teamwork guide the team, fostering an environment of motivation and accountability on and off the court.
