A stable version of the Firefox 109 browser has been published. The 102.7.0 branch update has been formed at the same time with long term support.

Innovations in Firefox 109 include:

-Support for the third version of the Chrome manifest. This retains support for the old blocking mode of the webRequest API instead of the content filtering API as in Chrome;

-Support for a granular authority request model, where the add-on cannot be activated for all pages at once. In this way, the user can selectively decide which add-on to grant access to their data on a particular site by using the Unified Extensions button;
