GitHub has moved the IPMI Tool repository and all other projects by developer Alexander Amelkin to archive mode without prior notice or any explanation. They remained available on the platform, but only in read-only mode.

OpenNET experts found out that, according to unofficial information, the reason for the restrictions was Amelkin's official work at Yadro. "CNS Group ("Yadro") came under U.S. blocking sanctions in late February.

In addition to Amelkin, GitHub archived all repositories with open projects from Yadro, as well as all repositories of employees who associated themselves with the company.
