Google has sold Google Domains domain registration service with 10 million active customers to US website builder and hosting company Squarespace.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. Subject matter experts have estimated it at $180 million.

Squarespace will commit to current pricing for all of Google Domains' existing 10 million customers for a minimum of 12 months as part of a transition period. The company will gradually migrate these customers to its products.
