Take-Two Interactive, the publisher behind the blockbuster gaming series, has narrowed down the release window for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI to the fall of 2025. This announcement came as part of their financial report for the year 2024, highlighting the game's expected debut on next-generation consoles including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, a PC version's release remains unconfirmed at this stage.

As Take-Two enters the 2025 fiscal year with strong momentum, they project net bookings to range between $5.55 and $5.65 billion. This forecast reflects the refined timeline provided by Rockstar Games, pointing to a fall 2025 launch for their next major title. "We are confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the game continue to grow," stated a company press release.

The focus on console releases does leave PC gamers in a familiar state of suspense, as Rockstar has not yet confirmed a PC version for the same release window. Historically, Rockstar has staggered the launch of their games across different platforms. For instance, Grand Theft Auto V was first released on Xbox 360 and PS3 in September 2013, but it did not arrive on PC until April 2015, indicating that a similar delay could be expected for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the PC release, there is little doubt that it will eventually be available to that segment of gamers. The question remains whether it will launch simultaneously with the console versions or if PC players will need to wait several months, as has been the pattern with Rockstar's previous releases.

Looking ahead, Take-Two expects sustained growth in net bookings through the 2025, 2026, and 2027 fiscal years. This optimism is driven by the anticipated success of Grand Theft Auto VI, which could potentially become the biggest release of all time, especially given the soaring expectations set by its official announcement. Clearly, Rockstar Games is taking the time to ensure that the game meets these high expectations, which explains the planned scheduling and strategic release decisions.

In other gaming news, Ubisoft has recently announced the release date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The game is set to be available globally on November 15 at the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store, playable on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will also be accessible to Apple Mac users, broadening its availability to a wider audience.

As we edge closer to these significant releases, the gaming community is buzzing with anticipation and expectations, setting the stage for what could be revolutionary steps forward in the gaming industry.
