Hackers have gained access to the personal data of Google Fi communications service customers during the hack of US carrier T-Mobile.

Google has warned its customers that its main communications service provider for Google Fi recently alerted the company about suspicious hacker activity and possible data leakage of a limited number of Google Fi service customers.

Subject matter experts explained to the media that Google Fi uses partners T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular to connect users to the cellular network.

Google added that it was not a Google Fi hack, but hackers did gain access to limited information about the service's customers, including their phone numbers, account status and SIM card serial numbers.
