The state of a laptop's battery does not affect its performance. At the same time, a battery with an expired life can cause the system to overheat, which can lead to the failure of its individual components.

In addition, a worn-out battery can cause voltage surges that pose a threat to capacitors and fuses. Therefore, it is extremely important to know the condition of your laptop battery.

To check the battery status, you need to run a command prompt. To do this, just type cmd in the Start menu or press R and Win simultaneously. When the command prompt window appears, type powercfg /batteryreport. After pressing Enter, the system will generate a report. The path to it should be copied to the clipboard and then pasted into the Start search box. This will open an HTML document with a report on the battery status.
