Intel has developed FakeCatcher technology capable of detecting dipfakes in real time.
The company claims that FakeCatcher is up to 96% accurate.
The detector detects dipfakes based on color changes in the skin caused by blood flow, which can only be found in a real person.
The detector studies facial color, translates these signals into a kind of map and, with the help of deep learning, determines whether the person in the video is real or fake.
