JetBrains has launched a beta test of the interactive Kotlin Notebook for the programming language of the same name. The notebook is available as an extension for IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate.

The company's blog notes that the Python plugin installation will need to be enabled during the download. This step is necessary because of the dependencies on the UI components that reside within it. These dependencies will be removed in the near future.

kotlin notebook can use dependencies from the main project, its classes and objects, and can also load third-party libraries from the maven repository. users can browse notebooks in any jupyter browsers or using the datalore from the jetbrains team.
