JetBrains has announced that the lightweight Fleet IDE has been released to early public access

The tool can now be installed by all users, not just Fleet Explorer members. During the early access period, the IDE is distributed free of charge.

It is noted that Fleet is a lightweight code editor that runs quickly and allows you to make urgent edits. But Fleet can also be turned into a full development environment.

The editor includes an IntelliJ-based code analysis engine which provides content- and context-aware code auto-completion, navigation to definitions, and quality analysis.
