Meta revealed a leak of data of at least 1 million Facebook users through third-party applications. It was reported by Axios, citing a report from the company's security service.
The company found about 400 apps that stole users' personal data. 355 of them were Android apps and 47 were iOS apps. About 40 percent of those apps were masquerading as photo editors, while the rest were games and business apps.
