Microsoft unveiled a set of new features as part of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23466 on the Developer Channel that include improvements to backup and restore.

Windows Backup is designed to simplify the transition to a new computer, as well as speed up the process of rebooting an existing PC.

Unlike the system restore feature, the utility lets you quickly transfer photos, files, passwords and other data to a new computer. It also supports docked applications in the Start menu and taskbar. All of them will be in their old location after the migration.
