Microsoft adds Python to Excel spreadsheets, preview already available on Windows. Users can now process data in Excel using charts and popular Python libraries. Excel users will also be able to leverage chart libraries such as Matplotlib and Seaborn for visualisations such as heat maps, violin charts and group charts.

No additional software installation or add-ons are required for this, Python will be part of the built-in Excel and Power Query connectors, and will open directly in the ribbon. Microsoft will also add a new PY feature that allows Python data to be displayed in an Excel spreadsheet grid.
