The corporation will return to the traditional cycle of publishing major versions of the operating system and increase the release of new features. Last year, Microsoft announced that it would release one major update to Windows every year.

This means that the planned 2023 release of an update for the current version of the OS, codenamed Sun Valley 3, has been cancelled. In addition, Microsoft will ramp up the release of new features for Windows 11.
