New useful features are coming to Google Play

The Google Play code contains references to two unannounced features of the app store. This was stated by tech blogger AssembleDebug. In particular, he talks about an assistant in downloading mobile programs and a new Cubes widget for quick access to the branded site.

The source claims that a tool called Download Buddy will be added to the store. It is a tool for displaying the progress of downloading applications with a translucent arrow button. The arrow is located on the right side of the interface and appears on the screen after you click the Install button. If you click on it, you can see the download status without going to the store.

However, little is known about the new widget, although insiders have been talking about it since January 2023. Back then, this name was used to hide the interface mockup, which was later transformed into a desktop widget. Most likely, it is intended to provide quick access to categories and apps in the store.
