A new version of the backend framework for the Python programming language, Django 4.2, has been released.

The new version will have long term support (LTS), which means that fixing security and data loss issues will apply for at least the next three years.

Also with the release of Django 4.2, support for Django 4.1 ended. The last release with minor bug fixes, 4.1.7, was released on February 14, 2023
