The TON Blockchain Development Fund, created by the founders of the Telegram messenger, has introduced a new data storage platform called TON Storage. According to CoinDesk, the project is aimed at solving the problems of storing confidential information.

According to representatives of the TON Foundation, the main goal of TON Storage is to provide users with the ability to exchange files of any size, stimulating node operators financially. How does it work? The node operator and the user create a smart contract on the TON blockchain, which guarantees that the client will pay a fixed amount in Toncoin for storing files for a predetermined time. This will provide the possibility of "almost lifetime" data storage.

TON Storage works as a peer-to-peer file sharing system using the TON blockchain. It provides decentralized storage and encryption of information. According to the developers of TON Storage, the availability of this product will encourage new users to join the TON network, contributing to the further development and expansion of the entire ecosystem.

In addition to the launch of the information storage service, at the end of 2022, representatives of the TON ecosystem in partnership with Telegram launched the TON Gifts project, which allows sending NFT gifts in the messenger. The service is created on the TON blockchain and works with a chatbot. Users will be able to create unique gifts in the form of a Christmas tree, snowman, black rabbit (symbol of 2023) or a bouquet of flowers. In addition, there is an option to send any amount of Toncoin or NFT on the TON Diamonds platform in an animated gift box.
