The developers of the NiceHash service reported that miners have managed to bypass Lite Hash Rate (LHR) mining protection on GeForce RTX 3000 video cards for the first time.

The method worked on most of the video cards of this line. Only RTX 3050 and RTX 3080 12GB did not work.

Miners used Dagger-Hashimoto (Ethash) algorithm, which is used for mining cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum. It only works on Windows.

NiceHash is already promising that they will soon release an update for their QuickMiner (Excavator), which will fully unlock LHR video cards.
