Google has released its Chrome 106 browser. At the same time, a stable release of the free Chromium project became available.

The main changes in Chrome 106 include:

Enabling the default Prerender2 mechanism for desktop build users. This is needed to preemptively render recommendation content in the Omnibox address bar. The content of recommendation-related pages can now be rendered in the buffer;

Ability to search history, bookmarks and tabs directly from the Omnibox address bar. The @history, @bookmarks and @tabs tags are available to localize searches;
