According to Der Spiegel and Der Standard, an employee of the VirusTotal service (owned by Google) accidentally posted a file with the data of 5,600 registered corporate clients (full names, email addresses and the name of the agency or company) on the platform.

This included employees of US and UK intelligence agencies, including contacts of IS experts from the US Cyber Command, Pentagon, DOJ, FBI and NSA.

Google warned customers about the leak of their employees' data and advised them to urgently conduct staff awareness of phishing risks.
