The first alpha version of the upcoming Weston 12.0 has been released and offers support for multiple GPUs, PipeWire server part and tearing protection.

Many changes have been made to the Weston 12.0 code base since Weston 11.0 was released last September. The new version introduces tearing-control to protect against output tearing.

It also introduces several new protocols, initial support for multiple GPUs, and many other features.
