The GitLab 15.0 collaborative development platform has been released. The developers have announced that future releases will replace the built-in Web IDE code editor with Microsoft's Visual Studio Code (VS Code).

It is noted that using VS Code will simplify project development in the GitLab interface and allow developers to use a familiar and full-featured code-editing tool.
